So really, I do have to come to terms with the fact that I am not the best blogger in the world....in fact, I may be very close to being one of the worst. I have such wonderful and cute pictures to post, because, well, basically I have such wonderful and cute 'subjects'. Maybe someday I will fulfill that desire to post weekly or even monthly blogs.....we'll see. For now, I will just say that the Bagshaw's are all doing great. 2009 was a fabulous year, but much more excitement awaits us in 2010, not sure what, but I can feel it.

First Day of School

I can't believe that Abi is already in 5th grade and Sophie started pre-school at Sunshine Square. They are such sweet and wonderful little girls'. Abi is the tender-hearted one and Sophie the sweet and sassy one. I am so proud of both of them and they amaze me every single day.

Disneyland 2009

We started off our trip on Thursday, June 18. Abi had a field trip so we didn’t get on the road until around 12:00. Grandma and Grandpa went with us and we caravanned with them. We made several stops along the way but finally made it to our first destination around 8:00…Las Vegas!!! Abi had a dance competition in Las Vegas so we stayed at the Luxor for two nights. Friday was a swim day and walk around day. We spent the entire day Saturday at the dance competition. Abi did awesome, and as soon as she finished up, we hit the road, next stop Disneyland. The happiest place on earth!!! We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel for 5 nights and felt the Disneyland Magic as soon as we arrived. We had an absolutely wonderful time. It was so fun watching the girls' and their reaction to everything.

Abi has already had 4 dance competitions and has done very well in all of them. We have one more, Stars Nationals in Vegas in June. Our team, the Salt City Stars, were the Stars Regional Champs. Grandma Doris has made it to all but one of her competitions...which is not an easy task, since they are all day affairs. Thanks for your support Momma, it makes the day much more bearable to have the company.

We love the zoo and try to go at least once every year. We went on Memorial Day and it was so packed, but we still had a great time. Sophie named everything Lola, the hippo on the Merry-go-round, her little stuffed animal, and anything else that we asked "what's her name"? She didn't like the big cats "they will eat me"...smart girl.

So since I've started on Facebook, I haven't been blogging. I thought I'd just put up a few random pics. I can't believe that today is the last day of May. This year has gone by so fast, time seems to go by so fast. Abi is 10 years old and such an amazing little girl. Sophie is almost 3, and that just seems crazy, because she is still my baby. We are so blessed with health and happiness. We have a big Disneyland vacation coming up and June and we're so excited.

My beautiful little girls. So cute together and they aoslutely adore each other. Sophie always wants to go with Abi when Abi goes to her friends' house, and Abi always lets her go.

Sophie is such a good helper and always wants to help with whatver I'm doing, whether it be laundry or planting, she is right there to offer her little helping hands. I had gardening gloves on, and she had to go get some on and was so excited when she found pink ones in the shed, along with the gardening apron and shovel.

Abi is so beautiful, inside and out....just look at those eyes!!! This was right before her dance pictures when she was waiting for me to get ready.

Sophie brings us so much joy. She is so sweet and silly, but probably one of the most opinionated people I know.

Another busy October has come and gone. Time just seems to fly by. Sophie was pretty funny with her costume this year. I had all these great ideas, because she is only 2 and I should still be able to determine what she is going to dress up as, not the case. She was quite adamant about being a princess. She didn't necessarily care what kind, she just knew she wanted to be a princess and there was no changing her mind. On Halloween night she went as a princess for 1/2 the night and then put on a dinosaur costume that Abi wore when she was almost 2. I guess she got tired of the princess. Abi was going to be a football player, but changed her mind and went as a witch (a very cute witch). On Halloween day she switched things up and was a Genie for 1/2 the day, a witch for trick or treating. Although I always have great plans to do all the fun Halloween activities, we didn't quite make it to everything I wanted to. We did, however, make it to a few fun things; we went to Gardner Village the week before Halloween to see all the witches and the petting zoo (Sophie loved the baby pigs), Ken and Carol took Abi and Sophie to a pumpkin patch, and of course trick or treating on Halloween. This was the first year we actually stayed home and I can't believe how many trick or treaters we have in our neighborhood. Here are some random pictures from Halloween festivities in October.

Dallas Cowboys....America's Team

Lance has always wanted to go to a Cowboys game at Texas Stadium so him and his dad went to the Dallas Cowboys Monday night football game on September 15th. I don't think they could have picked a better game to go to, and needless to say, they had a great time.
Kind of weird, because when I was looking through his pictures there were an awful lot of the Cheerleaders and very few of anything else.....but as they say, behind every man is an even better woman and behind every great football team there are even better cheerleaders!!!

Me and the girls' (well me and Abi) have tried to talk Lance into getting a new puppy or kitty for over a year now. We started about 3 weeks ago, asking for a kitty and he was very adamant with his No. I think we worked it the right way, because when we found this little beagle, he gave us a reluctant "I don't care"..... that was Yes to us and we did not hesitate. Her name is Lily (Sophie calls her Lilylilylou) and she is so so cute and of course, as anyone knows who has had a puppy, she is definitely a lot of work. Abi and Sophie adore her, and although Belle has not taken on the motherly role, Belle loves her too.

My two favorite flowers are lilies and daisies...Abi's flower is a Daisy (April)and Sophie is my Lily (July). These were in our backyard. The blooms were hunormous, but only stayed for a day or two.

We went to the zoo, with G&G and Nichole on Sophie's birthday. She was very intrigued with all the animals and we had a lot of fun.

Happy Birthday Sophie. I can't believe my little girl is already 2. She is such a sweetheart and a spit-fire all at the same time. I just absolutely love her to bits an dcan't even imagine life without her. She brings such joy into our home. We had a fun BBQ with about 50 of her closest family and friends (pretty much family). She received a lot of wonderful gifts; lots of cute clothes, a new baby, a cute book, a bubble blowing lawnmower, Fisher Price Snap and dress dollies, a big stuffed dog and a little dog, a weeble wobble RV set, and a cute little doctor set along with her own scrubs and crocs (from, who else but her nurse-to-be aunt Trin...well the Dawes'). Thank you to everyone for making her birthday so special and spoiling her like the little princess that she is. It was also so wonderful to have my Mom at the party as well as the Thompson's (minus Kipper). Thank you Brittanie for being the photographer at the party!!

Thanksgiving Point

Me and the girls' and Mason and Kaden had a little field trip to the Animal Farm at Thanksgiving Point yesterday. We had a great time. They went on a pony ride (Sophie lasted long enough for me to get a picture), a wagon ride, saw lots of animals, even got to feed the sheep and goats.

It's been quite a while since I've posted any photos or updates. We are all doing very well, and very anxious for Spring. Abi is busy with school and dance, she starts competitions next month so she's got a lot of extra practices coming up. Sophie is just busy, so cute and so much fun. Lance has been working very hard on getting our basement finished. It's coming together very nicely, but definitely a lot of work. Here are just a few misc. pictures.......

Our Hawaii Trip - October 18 - October 30th

Here are just a "few" pictures from our Hawaii trip (we had over 400 pictures and it was really hard to narrow them down). We started off on Oahu (Honolulu) and stayed at the beautiful Hilton Hawaiian Village for two nights. This hotel was absolutely amazing and just off of Waikiki beach. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center, and did a little sight seeing and swimming. Than we flew over to Maui and stayed at a nice condo in Kihei. We went on a couple snorkeling excursions...which were amazing, we even got Abi out in the ocean to snorkel. We went on a sunset cruise, a submarine, visited the aquarium, and the Tropical Plantation, and of course a little shopping on Front Street in La Hina (sp). The pool at our condo was right off our room so we did lots of swimming as well. After 7 days on Maui, we went back to Oahu and stayed at the Hilton again. We made it to Pearl Harbor on our last day. The trip was incredible and Ken and Carol were awesome traveling partners. Thank you for everything Ken and Carol!!!

Penguins in Hawaii....What the?? The penguins were at our hotel and we had to go each morning to say Hello to them. Abi even got to pet them while one of the workers were there.

We were eating lunch and all of a sudden we saw a couple pigeons walking up to us, then there was a rooster (or roostah), then a peacock comes strolling up and starts eating our crumbs. Sophie wasn't sure what to think of the whole situation.

This was in our bathroom at the condo. Sophie thought it was a cool hut.This was the snorkeling trip that all of us went on. Lance and I were the only ones who snorkeled and it was amazing. We went out to Molokini, and then to turtle rock. The boat, Pride of Maui, was so much fun. We had breakfast and a BBQ lunch on the boat (plus drinks). There was a slide off the back which, of course, both Lance and I had to try out. We tried everything to get Abi on it, but she refused.

A couple nights ago we went to see the Witches at Gardner Village. they weren't doing the "Carriage ride with a witch" that night, but we still had a fun time.

Abi is back in school...3rd grade (however she is now going off track for 3 weeks), Sophie is almost walking (we know she can do it, but she probably figures "why bother"). I can't believe that our baby is already 1. This year has went by so fast and she has brought so much joy and happiness to our family. We went camping with the Blackburns' a couple weekends ago. This was the first camping trip for all of us (atleast since Lance and I have been married). We survived the wilderness and had a great time.

Race for the Cure

On May 12 we did the Race for the Cure (5K fundraiser for Breast Cancer). Paula put together a team of about 35, the "Motley Crew". There were thousands of people there, so it was really more of a mosey than a race. Sophie was exhausted and fell asleep about half way through, Ali and Abi wanted to run with Lance, but only made it about a 1/4 of a mile (not sure if Lance was the one who wanted to stop or the girls'). All in all it was a great day and we hope to do it next year.

On Easter Sunday we had my family over for dinner, another Easter egg hunt and celebrated Abi's birthday (again).

The Dalton's had an Easter Egg hunt brunch on Saturday. There were 1000 eggs to find. The kids had lots of fun and it was a beautiful sunny day. Unfortunately a lot of the chocolate in the eggs melted before the kids found them.

We had several Easter parties and lots of Easter egg hunts. The favorite find this year was money. We had an Easter party and Easter egg hunt at grandma and grandpa's (plus celebrated Abi's and Scott's birthday).

Mini-Vacation

We took a little road trip down to St. George and Mesquite with the Blackburns', Dawes', Valdez's, Fordham's, Downie's, and the Pearson's. It was so nice to get away, and the weather was beautiful (however we did come back to snow). The kids' swam pretty much the whole time.
