Our Hawaii Trip - October 18 - October 30th

Here are just a "few" pictures from our Hawaii trip (we had over 400 pictures and it was really hard to narrow them down). We started off on Oahu (Honolulu) and stayed at the beautiful Hilton Hawaiian Village for two nights. This hotel was absolutely amazing and just off of Waikiki beach. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center, and did a little sight seeing and swimming. Than we flew over to Maui and stayed at a nice condo in Kihei. We went on a couple snorkeling excursions...which were amazing, we even got Abi out in the ocean to snorkel. We went on a sunset cruise, a submarine, visited the aquarium, and the Tropical Plantation, and of course a little shopping on Front Street in La Hina (sp). The pool at our condo was right off our room so we did lots of swimming as well. After 7 days on Maui, we went back to Oahu and stayed at the Hilton again. We made it to Pearl Harbor on our last day. The trip was incredible and Ken and Carol were awesome traveling partners. Thank you for everything Ken and Carol!!!

Penguins in Hawaii....What the?? The penguins were at our hotel and we had to go each morning to say Hello to them. Abi even got to pet them while one of the workers were there.

We were eating lunch and all of a sudden we saw a couple pigeons walking up to us, then there was a rooster (or roostah), then a peacock comes strolling up and starts eating our crumbs. Sophie wasn't sure what to think of the whole situation.

This was a guy who climbedup a coconut tree in a matter of seconds.

Sophie doing the Slowski. This is a face that she always does and we think she resmbles a turtle. So it got dubbed the "Slowski". The whole trip, if you were the lollygagger on any given occasion, you were deemed the Slowski.

This was in our bathroom at the condo. Sophie thought it was a cool hut.This was the snorkeling trip that all of us went on. Lance and I were the only ones who snorkeled and it was amazing. We went out to Molokini, and then to turtle rock. The boat, Pride of Maui, was so much fun. We had breakfast and a BBQ lunch on the boat (plus drinks). There was a slide off the back which, of course, both Lance and I had to try out. We tried everything to get Abi on it, but she refused.

A school of fish Lance and Abi at the Great big Banyan tree at LaHina. This tree was hunormous (it took up an entire block). There was a homeless guy who we got on video that gave us the whole story of the tree.

One of the nights on Maui, Abi packed a picnic and we went and sat out right off of the ocean and had our picnic and watched the sunset.

This was our last night on Hawaii after a super yummy dinner at the hotel.

We attempted to build a sand castle, but it quickly became just a deep hole.
